Sunny Robertson-O'Boyle, a gifted and distinguished mezzo-soprano opera singer renowned for her captivating performances and versatile vocal artistry. With a voice characterized by its warmth, depth, and expressive power, Sunny has graced the stages of numerous esteemed opera companies. including Seattle Opera, Portland Opera, Opera Theater Oregon, MIO Opera, Manhattan Chamber Opera, Chelsea Opera, Portland Symphonic Choir, ViVoce, the Young Artists Opera Foundation and is a first place winner in the NATS NYC professional division vocal competition.
From classic operatic roles to contemporary works, she brings each character to life with nuance, depth, and emotional resonance. Her journey has been enriched by collaborations with distinguished mentors such as John Keene, Mark Rucker, Martina Arroyo, Anthony Laciura, Valerie Sorel, Manny Perez, John Koch, and Janet Brown, among others.
Sunny's repertoire spans several genres including operatic and oratorio works, musical theater,and straight acting roles.
Offstage, Sunny is committed to sharing her passion for music and nurturing the next generation of artists. As a dedicated voice teacher and mentor, she inspires and empowers aspiring singers to discover their own unique voices and artistic identities.
Alongside her artistic pursuits, she excelled academically, earning a B.A. in Psychology from Southern Connecticut State University. She furthered her education at the Kripalu School of Massage, becoming a licensed and board-certified massage therapist. Under the tutelage of renowned practitioners such as Libby Barnett, Mayra Luria, and Rose Robertson, Sunny attained the status of Reiki Master and honed her skills as a light worker.
Continuing her academic journey, Sunny pursued graduate studies at The New England Conservatory of Music and currently attends Syracuse University's Setnor School of Music where she is getting her M.M. in Vocal Pedagogy.
